And the first stone is… The water meter!!

Coucou à tous! Voici quelques petites nouvelles de notre projet de résidence touristique: les choses avancent, nous avons un compteur d’eau!!!

De l’efficacité en Guadeloupe: une très agréable surprise

Une fois n’est pas coutume: le début de l’aventure s’est très bien déroulé! Pour commencer notre chantier, il faut que le constructeur ait l’eau.

J’ai donc fait une demande à la nouvelle agence de notre communauté de communes, la renoc.

Habituellement aux Antilles, toute démarche administrative est un casse tête… Mais pas cette fois ci!

1. J’ai téléphoné pour savoir quels papiers je devais amener: on m’a répondu du premier coup

2. Je suis allée à l’agence, et on a pris mon dossier alors qu’il manquait une pièce, mais j’ai pu l’envoyer directement depuis mon portable (merci la 4G)

3. Le lendemain un monsieur m’a appelée, il était prêt à venir le jour même faire le devis. Mais je n’étais disponible que le lendemain…

4. J’ai reçu le devis dans la semaine suivante, j’ai payé. On m’a dit que les travaux seraient faits sous 15 jours…

Faut bien qu’il y ait un accroc…

Quand même, tout ne pouvait pas rouler tout seul. J’étais en vacances en France, et le dernier jour avant le départ, je reçois un coup de fil des voisins de mon terrain.

En posant le compteur, ils avaient percé leur adduction d’eau agricole!!!

Bon en rentrant, on est passé sur place: heureusement, ils avaient réparé! Ça a failli nous faire mal commencer avec les voisins, oups. Mais ils ont été très compréhensifs, c’est chouette!!!

Enfin, voilà, le chantier commence… À bientôt pour la suite!

Efficiency in Guadeloupe: a sweet surprise

Well, for once, our beginnings were ok! To start our construction, the workers will need water.

So i had to ask for the water distribution on our plot of land. I went to the new water agency, the renoc.

I was afraid because here in Guadeloupe every administratie procedure is slow and complicated, sometimes as hard as hell… But this time i was REALLY lucky!

1. I phone to know which documents i should bring, and i’ve been answered immediatly!!

2. I’ve been to the agency, and my file was accepted even though a piece was missing (i could send it immediatly from my phone, thx to the 4G!)…

3. The day after, a guy called me: he was ready to come immediatly and prépare the estimate. But i asked him to come the day after again, because i was at work…

4. I received the estimate the week after, and i paid. It was written that the work should be done within 2 weeks…

Well, everything couldn’t be so perfect!

One month after, a guy called me while i was in holidays in France: he was searching the address to make the work. The day after, i received à call from our future neighbours: they had cut their water for agriculture doing the job!

When we went back we went to see… But it was all repaired!! We were lucky that our neighbours were really cool with this and didn’t blame us…
